Grandma and Grandpa and Will!

Jared's parents and little brother came to visit us last week! Jack was so excited. They drove way down from Washington, which is no small thang. Luckily Jared was able to maneuver his work schedule around so we could spend a decent amount of time together.
One of our favorite stops was to get shakes downtown at Rialto's. The Lamberts are experts on Huckleberry shakes since they live in Washington, and they rated the Rialto's huckleberry shake highly. The shop owner even gave Jack a balloon!
We went for a short hike on Casper Mountain. School must be back in session, because we didn't see a soul during any of our outings to the mountain. We took Savvy with us, and she must've run into a sharp stick when she was sprinting through the forest, because she came back with a gaping wound in her shoulder. Jared was able to stitch her up at home (yay doctor skills!), but it took all of us to hold her down while he did it. Luckily it only took one stitch and she was a champ. That afternoon we spontaneously decided to caravan down to the Bear Lake cabin to extend our time with Jared's fam. We don't get to spend as much time with them as we'd like since we live several states apart, so we were grateful for this opportunity.
^^We went jetskiing for a couple hours on Saturday--so fun! Jack was scared to get on at first, but then he'd say, "fast, mama!"
^^We have several pictures like this one from Jack's various trips to the cabin at different ages. His favorite cabin game is to toss his stuffed bunny up and down from the loft to the main floor.
^^Not at all related to this post, but just had to get this capture of pantsless Jack in the prairie saved somewhere before it gets lost.

We had so much fun with the Lamberts! We can't wait to be done with residency and hopefully live closer someday so we can have hiking and cabin adventures together all the time. Jack's final words from the weekend: "Jack, cabin, grandma, grandpa, Will, fun time. Again!"
