Christmas 2022

Christmas 2022! Let's do this! So many pictures, so little time to blog. I'll just caption as we go. And jump around a lot, since the pictures are all out of order.
^^Christmas morning! Santa brought Jack all manner of prehistoric water "dinosaurs," a dino coloring book, a dino-rider costume like daddy's, and lots of other fun things. Jared loves setting up Christmas morning, and he did a great job making everything look so inviting and magical.
^^The cute outfit we put Alice in for Christmas Eve that she blew out of within 3 minutes of putting it on her. Snapped a picture before I changed her into a different cute outfit.
^^We had Christmas Eve at Jared's parents home. Jared picked this nice spot in their dog's bed next to the fire for Alice to lounge. As a dad does.
^^Facetiming Aunt Annie
^^Christmas Eve was wonderful! We played some games, did some bells, had a delicious Christmas dinner, and opened a present. And tended to Alice's needs.
^^Tummy time Christmas baby.
^^Cute face, Jare. Jared made these delicious Christmas buns for breakfast. I made a German feast for Christmas dinner.
^^Blurry but too cute.
^^Jack singing at church on Christmas. He loves going up there and I love watching his face changing from normal Jack to focused, in-the-zone Jack. He makes this facial shift when I drop him off at preschool too haha
^^Christmas dinner. Tending to the schnitzel.
^^Christmas sink bath baby
^^My parents got Jack this doctor set for Christmas and it is everyone's favorite present because me and Jared get to just lay down when we're required to be patients.
^^We almost forgot to leave cookies and milk for Santa! Jack had already gone to bed, and he was nearly asleep when I happened to check in on him and he all of a sudden shot up and was like, "Mom, what about Santa's cookies??" Luckily I already had the dough balled up and ready to go in the fridge. Jack takes this Christmas duty very seriously:
More Christmas Eve fun!
^^Trying to figure out who each present was for. Jingle the Elf comes by the Lamberts on Christmas Eve and drops off a bag with a present for each person. The only problem is that Jingle is dyslexic so the letters are all mixed up. You have to figure out who each present is for. For example, "Kacj" would be for "Jack."
^^Jared's sister Annie is an artist and she drew us a digitized family picture. Wish we'd gotten the actual picture in the shot, but it is very cute!

And that was our Christmas! We had a wonderful day filled with presents and food and family fun. I tried to soak in every special moment with Alice for her first Christmas. Jared and I also gifted each other built ins for our fireplace. Now we just have to build them, yay! We're using Ikea cabinets for the bottom and making shelves for the tops. The cabinets are all put together so now comes the hard part. Wish us luck!
